Applying for Housing and Choosing a Meal Plan
Spring 2025 Housing & Meal Plan applications open: October 28, 2024
Priority Deadline to apply: December 9, 2024
Housing Assignments Released by: December 20, 2024
Note: The majority of first year and transfer students will live in traditional double rooms. There are limited singles available on campus. Should you believe you need a housing accommodation, please contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) to register with their office by December 9, 2024. Students living in traditional lifestyle or suite lifestyle housing are required to have a full meal plan, and they will be assigned the All Access Plan if no selection is made.
How to Apply: You must have a Clark account to apply. Once you have set up your Clark email address, you may sign on to the Housing & Dining Portal to access and complete the housing application.
Another way to access the form (also using your Clark credentials) is to log in via the ClarkYOU portal. Once you log in:
- Click the menu item Housing and Dining Self-Service.
- Click on the Applications, Forms & Requests tab.
- Fill out the Fall 2024 Undergraduate Housing Application.
Move-in Schedule
Incoming first-year student move-in: Saturday, January 11, 2025
Students will receive a one hour arrival time block between 9:00am – 12:00pm on January 11, 2025 based on their housing assignment. Student will receive move-in instructions via email. You can view the move-in map for first-year move-in here.
Incoming transfer student move-in: Saturday, January 11, 2025 between 9:00am – 12:00pm
Early Arrival
Clark has several pre-orientation groups that have separate early arrival dates and move-in information. Please confirm your move-in information with your program director. Outside of pre-orientation groups, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate incoming students arriving earlier than August 22, 2024. Please plan to stay in a hotel or Airbnb should your travel plans dictate you arriving in Worcester sooner than August 22, 2024.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I access my housing assignment, meal plan, and roommate information?
Housing assignments and corresponding roommate information are available on the Housing and Dining Self-Service portal. Once you log on, the information will be on the main screen.

What if I want to change my meal plan?
Students wanting to change their meal plan should use their Housing and Dining self-service portal to adjust their meal plan. Reminder: students living in traditional and suite style housing are required to be on a full meal plan.
Students have until Friday, September 6, 2024 at 5:00pm to reduce/cancel their meal plan. After Friday, September 6, 2024, students can only add a meal plan. Meal plan information can be found here.
I requested a single but didn’t get one, how do I get one?
Single and suite room types are filled based on a first come, first-serve basis, with priority being given to those students with approved accommodations through Student Accessibility Services.
Students who are looking to change their rooms will be able to submit a room change request starting Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The form will be available online and further instructions will be sent to your Clark email address when the form becomes available. Singles on campus are very limited, so it is highly unlikely that you will be able to switch into a single room even if you complete the room change request form.
I don’t like my housing placement how do I get something else?
Students who are looking to change their rooms will be able to submit a room change request starting Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Singles on campus are very limited, so it is highly unlikely that you will be able to switch into a single room even if you complete the room change request form.
If something doesn’t work with my roommate, when am I able to change rooms?
Your residence hall is overseen by a Community Director who is a live-on professional staff member trained to assist students with concerns, connectedness, etc. as they live on campus. Additionally, on your floor there will be a Resident Adviser, a student staff member, who is also trained to assist students in dealing with concerns in their living area. We strongly encourage students to work with their Resident Adviser and Community Director to try and mediate any issues and concerns first. Many times, the problem can be resolved. In addition to potentially being able to resolve the concerns, another reason we encourage students to work with their Hall staff is because the room change process not being available until a few weeks into the semester.
How can I see what my residence hall looks like?
We invite students to take a virtual tour to see what the inside of our residential halls and houses looks like.
Can you tell me the specific dimensions of the rooms and/or furniture?
While some of our room sizes may vary, every student room comes with a bed, dresser, desk, and desk chair. Unfortunately, we do not have dimensions of the rooms or furniture provided in each of our halls.

Am I able to loft my bed? What about bunking two beds?
Unfortunately, for fire safety reasons students are unable to loft their beds. Students who want to bunk the beds in their space are asked to submit a work request to Facilities Management and staff will take care of that during the first few weeks of the semester.
Can I get bed risers?
Yes! Most standard bed risers work (around 2.5-3″ diameter), and many of our students also use extra tall bed risers. The one kind we don’t allow are bed risers with built-in electrical outlets, as they are a fire safety hazard.
Do any of the desk drawers or cabinets lock for storage of valuables?
None of our desk drawers of cabinets lock. Many students end up buying a small safe to keep valuables in.
If I want to hang posters or photos on the walls, is there a particular adhesive product that you recommend, or can we use anything we want?
Only removable adhesives that do not cause damage or leave marks can be used to hang objects on walls. Do not use scotch tape, masking tape, or pushpins in woodwork. We find that blue painters tape works well.
